Trusting God In Transitions (Joshua 3) - By Allan Muchiri
Transitions in life can be daunting, but they are also opportunities to witness God's faithfulness. In this past Sunday's sermon, Allan Muchiri explored how the story of the Israelites crossing the Jordan River in Joshua chapter 3 offers timeless lessons for navigating change.
God Keeps His Promises A core message of the sermon is that God is a promise-keeper. Whether His promises are unconditional, like the one made to Abraham about his descendants inheriting Canaan, or conditional, they are always fulfilled. We can find assurance in His promises of provision, presence, peace, and wisdom as we face our own "Jordan Rivers." God Fulfills His Purposes God's promises are not random; they are intricately woven into His grand purposes. The crossing of the Jordan wasn't just a victory for the Israelites, but a part of God's plan to draw all nations to Himself. Even when we falter, God's purposes cannot be thwarted. The Holy Spirit guides us to align with His will, which ultimately is to shape us into the image of Christ. God Works by His Great Power We are reminded of the miraculous power of God, which parted the Red Sea and stopped the flow of the Jordan River. This same supernatural power is available to us today. It empowers us to overcome challenges, find comfort in sorrow, and grow in our faith, especially during difficult transitions. The sermon concludes with a powerful reminder that all of God's promises find their "yes" in Jesus Christ. He is trustworthy, and in Him, we can find the strength to face any transition with confidence and hope. Missed the Message?
