Stones of Remembrance (Joshua 4) - By Craig Luper
What a great Sunday we had together worshiping the Lord, fellowshipping, and opening His Word. I want to remind you of the important message we shared as we explored Joshua chapter 4.
We were reminded of four key points: First, remember God's faithfulness. This week, don't forget how faithful He has been. Even in times when it's difficult to see Him or understand what is happening, God remains faithful. Second, we discussed the importance of sharing our stories with the next generation. Parents, it is our duty to pass on the stories of God's might and wonder. We need to convey His character and nature so that our children can cling to Him during challenging times, especially when they face opposition that tries to shake their faith. Third, we must acknowledge the power of God. Although we are a church led by His Word and the Holy Spirit, we can sometimes become so practical that we overlook His power in every situation. Fourth, we acknowledged God with reverence and worship. Ultimately, we are called to worship, obey, listen to, and honor Him. We should see Him as Isaiah did in Isaiah 6: high and lifted up. This coming Sunday, we will continue with our series in Joshua, and I look forward to what comes next. Meanwhile, let us use this week to be a light in dark places and bring hope where there is despair. Let God use you to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we bring His gospel to the nations. I pray that your week will be filled with God's grace and mercy and that you will see His hand at work in all situations.
